Helping rebuild and reopen doors to a Ukrainian kindergarten

Several schools have been destroyed as war wages on in Ukraine. Swedoor is working to help bring some beauty and security back to the area with a new kindergarten.

As war continues in Ukraine, parts of the country's infrastructure, including several schools, have been destroyed. According to an article published last year, more than 3,790 educational facilities have been damaged or destroyed, severely interrupting access to education for millions of children.

With help from Swedoor, a JELD-WEN brand, and Harmet OU, one of the biggest prefabricates modular house builders in the Baltics, a new kindergarten has been built in the Ovruch area of Ukraine.

"This project is a sentimental one to everyone involved...it's been about helping children and communities in war zones. That is a very good feeling," Kaimur Kiviv, Baltic sales director, said.

"Ukraine must be rebuilt, and kindergartens are needed throughout the country. Even though this is just one project, it is part of a much bigger initiative."

The initial part of the project included a delivery of 56 door sets which were a combination of high-performance painted doors, Advance Line exterior doors and interior doors. The kindergarten was built using modular buildings which were produced and supplied by Harmet OU.
