JELD-WEN helps rebuild storm-damaged community

Employees in Fremont, Nebraska worked together to replace JELD-WEN windows just six days after a hailstorm destroyed windows in homes throughout a local apartment complex.

On April 17, Fremont, Nebraska, was hit by a massive hailstorm, unleashing baseball-sized hail that severely damaged homes at Fountain Springs Apartments. Among the hardest hit were the windows, leaving residents in urgent need of replacements to restore security and comfort to their homes.

For Bob Fields, contractor and part-owner of the complex, the path forward was clear. Having worked closely with JELD-WEN for over five years on this very property, he knew exactly who to turn to for reliable solutions. Fields requested 180 replacement windows from JELD-WEN to get the complex back in shape as soon as possible.

What happened next represents teamwork at its finest. Thanks to an established partnership and deep product knowledge, the JELD-WEN team was able to streamline the process, ensuring that the windows were ordered and shipped within just six days.

"It's in moments like this that we truly live out our values, making a lasting impact where it's needed most," said Regional Sales Representative Cole Tokle. "We're all just grateful for the opportunity to help this community get back on its feet as quickly as possible. Thanks to the focus, dedication and teamwork of our JELD-WEN team, we turned a challenge into an opportunity to restore beauty and security to the building. This effort is a testament to our commitment to delivering on our promises."
